Cha Siu and Siew Yok Takeout from Hong Kong Eatery in Chinatown

Since the kiddo had a check-up in town, we decided to grab some takeout from Hong Kong Eatery on the way back home. Luckily, it was early enough and at a weird enough time that there was no wait.
As soon as you walk in, you place your order and get covered with disinfectant spray pumping out from two machines. There’s barely any space inside since they blocked off the whole dining area.

I ordered a pound each of cha siu (Chinese bbq pork) and siew yok (roast pork with crispy skin). There’s such a HUGE difference with the bbq meats from Chinatown – it’s just so much more juicy and tender…and the pork skin is super crispy!
All the workers behind plexiglass had double masks on (cloth covering with medical mask underneath – me as well cuz the covid is blowing up like crazy). They mean business.
I wish I could grab takeout more often but we’re limiting unnecessary trips even moreso these recent days. Thank you elected officials for not getting a handle on the situation and making it more worse than necessary.
